In short: Deum invenire does not collect, sell or share anything that identifies you. There are no accounts and no advertising. Your location, Favorites and settings stay on your phone.

This website
This website has no accounts, no cookies, no advertising and no tracking. Its fonts and images are served from this site itself. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which — like any web host — sees your internet address and the time of each visit and may keep this briefly in its own logs (Cloudflare's privacy policy). Email links on this site are protected from spam robots by a small Cloudflare script; it collects nothing.
The app: what stays on your phone, and only there
- Your location — only if you tap "Use my location" or set a place by hand. Used to show distances and nearby parishes; never sent anywhere. You can clear it in the app.
- Your phone's time zone and language — read on your phone only, to choose the country the app starts in.
- Your Favorites, filters and settings — stored only on your phone.
- Parish information and the app's own files — saved on your phone so the app works offline. This is public information.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site's data in your browser, removes all of it.
Updates
When you open the app online, it checks app.deuminvenire.org (hosted by Cloudflare) for a newer app version and newer parish data. It sends nothing else: not your location, not your Favorites, no device identifier. Parish data is accepted only if its digital signature checks out.
Statistics and errors
The app sends small anonymous notes so we can improve it: app version, language, type of device (Android or iPhone, app or browser), which features are used, places where no parish was found (the place only, never what you typed) and error messages. The country is worked out from the connection, which is not kept. Only if you agree to "Help make this app better?" do the notes also carry a random number made on your phone, so we can see whether people come back; it is not linked to you and you can turn it off any time.
"I'm at this parish" (only when you choose it)
If you tap "I'm at this parish" to help correct a church's position on the map, the app sends that position, its accuracy and the time — nothing that identifies you.
Reminders (only if you turn them on)
Your phone writes reminders itself from your Favorites. To wake your phone at the right time, the app sends us only the times, your phone's push address (made by Google, Apple or Mozilla for this), the app version and the language. Used times are deleted after 14 days; turning reminders off deletes the push address and its times at once.
Feedback and emails you send us
If you send feedback, we receive your rating, your note, a name or email only if you typed one, and the app's language and version. If you email us a correction, we receive your email address and what you wrote. We use this only to improve the app and parish information and to reply to you. It is never shared, and it is deleted once dealt with — at the latest after 12 months. You can ask us to delete it sooner at [email protected].
Other websites and apps
Donate buttons, parish websites, Facebook pages, phone numbers, email addresses and Directions open other apps or websites, which follow their own privacy rules. The app passes nothing to them.
Children
Deum invenire is for a general audience and collects nothing from anyone, including children.
Your rights and changes
We hold no personal data about you except an email or feedback you chose to send. To ask about it or have it deleted, write to [email protected]. If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
